William P. Massey - Associate
Senior Philanthropic Advisor

Bill Massey advises family foundations on strategic start-up, transition and planning issues as well as organizational development. A gifted facilitator, Bill is an expert in leading planning retreats and in program development.

Mr. Massey is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Museum of History, Charlotte, North Carolina. He served as President of the National Charities Information Bureau, in New York and as Executive Director of the Kathleen Price Bryan Family Fund in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Massey is a philanthropy faculty member for the Family Office Exchange Learning Center and chaired the National Council on Foundations' Family Foundation Conference in New York City. He is regarded by his peers with the greatest respect for his ability to achieve consensus and his efforts to assist philanthropists in achieving the highest standards of stewardship.

In his early career, Mr. Massey was Annual Fund Director for the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as well as Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations. He also served as Senior Vice President for Ruder Finn Public Relations in North Carolina and New York.

Bill holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and Master's Degree from Duke University.
